Early Morning Aquarium
I sit cross-legged on the cold floor.
The eerie blue light fills the room.
The shadow of a manta rolls across my face
As I peer into the depths of the sprawling aquarium.
It's 1:58am. It's quiet. I'm alone.
A whale glides past as a turtle somersaults.
Dozens of species of marine life float by.
It's a quarter past 3.
I'm still but a lonely soul this side of the glass.
The reflected lights dance around the room.
I close my eyes and wish
To just
Remain here
For all eternity,
In this tranquil aquarium.
Her slender fingers gracefully dance
Among the shimmering white and ivory black
Performing a melody
Of contrasting pianissimo and forte, largo and presto
Its elusive tones dance throughout the airs
Resounding through the cavernous corridors
Weaving through the intricate pillars
Waltzing among the soft white rose petals
And always seeming to forever entangle itself
Among the subtle curves of her flowing, hazelnut hair
As her lovely light cherry- pink eyes hide behind their veils
Her svelte body adorned with a simple gown.
Hypnotized by the allure of her sonata,
I gaze towards the starry heavens
She elegantly sways in tempo

I trudged home kicking my black shoes in the dirt till they were brown. I grumbled as I hung my head refusing to look up at the stars that were beginning to awake from the solar slumber. My back hunched under the concrete weight of these tools of knowledge.
"Allyuh buy mih nuts from meh nah!" the nuts-man shouted with desperation as he passed me. The streetlights flickered on as the orange sun dipped below the horizon.
I dropped my bag on my desk as I quickly took a shower. The steam did wonders to clear my cluttered mind as I sifted through, wracking my brain for a solution. I heard the chatter of my parents as it drifted through the misty
Memory 169: The Conversation in a breezy classroom
I sat on a desk adjacent to the windowsill and stared out beyond billowing curtains. The day grew old as the orange sun began slowly dip below the horizon. A light evening's breeze gently blew across the wooden sill, ruffling through the papers on my desk. It then proceeded to enthrall the steam rising from my mug as I brought it to my aging lips. Old as I was, I was still in my youth. Hey, I was barely fifty-five then. I was, and am, quite young. Fine, 'mentally' young. I sat there reviewing some notes on aging paper. The atmosphere was lethargic, even with some music playing in the backgr

This Alluring Inveiglement
This Alluring Inveiglement
The curtains are drawn closed
Ending the play that's about to begin
As shadows are birthed
The fiery light is extinguished
Not even a twinkling character peers through
The billowing parting
A muffled click permeates the silence
As an eerie cerulean glow emanates
From a boring, square piece of plastic and glass.
The sound of a phone being dialed
Resonates throughout this abysmal cell
And the dissonant clacking
Shatters the harmonious tranquility.
An eerily perched cadaver
Fixates its hollow gaze on the thousands
Of pixilated dots that dance on the screen
As its fingers keep rhythm on the black
I slowly walk among the ruins of this theatre
As I carry in my arms a chest with carvings so intricate,
It was as if only a God could have held the chisel
Up on the stage I insert the heavy, rusted brass key and turn to the left
The thundering echoes of the tumblers soon follow as they shattered
The crystal silence of this cloudy night
And as if it itself was solely meant to be only a spotlight,
A single ray of light from the moon pierced through the clouds
And shone on the puppet that lay within
I gently placed my arms around her, lifting her out
Her auburn hair falls gently and sways in the breeze
While the gentle night ai

Musing About A Puppeteer
In the dull, nostalgic glow of the flickering lamp,
Clandestinely located beneath his exquisite stage,
This sadistic puppeteer skillfully glides the shaver
Delicately carving intricate designs into his precious masterpiece,
While a glistening diamond ring lay forgotten, obscured by dusty memories
